Alice Wasilka (1981) -

Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, gaining a master's degree in the Faculty of Graphics from the studio of Prof. Maciej Buszewicz, with additional qualification in graphic arts with Prof. Ewa Walaska.

 

She has also studied in France at the Ecole Superieure des Beaux Arts d'Angers reaching the finals of the prestigious Siemens Award Competition.

 

Wasilka painting and drawing in a variety of art mediums.

Her paintins a simple visual exoression of emotions and sensations.  She is searching in a subtle manner

for the surface, introducing forms of an organic nature, which in contrast to the expressive action painting, results in an organised chaos.

 

Due to her use if monochrome palettes of white and grey, an illusion of air and light dominate her work
