"BEHIND THE FORM"-
Agnieszka Rogowska
There is a wonderful consistency in Agnieszka's painting - sensitive observation and great sensitivity to color. Rogowska's paintings are vivid, they can be created one on top of the other. At the same time screaming - dressed in lush strokes of paint, and therefore quiet, even contemplative - with the modest severity of the canvas.

"THESE THINGS ARE FOR REAL"-
Wojtek Wieckowski
"These things are for real"
They talk to me, they come in my dreams.
These things are from water, from earth, from air.
I remember them for a very long time.
They are from memory of previous ones.
They are writing. Music. Family.
I live with them, I talk to them, I listen to them.
These things are what they want and are not what they shouldn't be.

"IS IT STILL (A) LIFE"
In many cultures and religions, man is treated as one, and the body is understood as one
Soul Vessel. The most tangible proof that we exist.
In the Christian culture, the body was separated, reduced to the symbol of sin
and hedonism. Touch and closeness evoke emotions. The body set in motion becomes a direct reaction - response to the continuous process of confrontation of deep consciousness with passing time.

Shinken Chuugi
The Japanese term chuugi consists of two characters.
The first one, chuu, means loyalty and devotion. The second part - gi - is the obligation to act in accordance
with the code and absolute balance of spirit - no attachment to anything.
Shinken, on the other hand, means a perfectly prepared, ready-to-cut blade.

"Sharpening the Soul of the Samurai"
"In traditional Japanese fencing, the most valued and one at the same time
one of the most difficult tests of skill were the cut tests, called tameshigiri.
In the old days, the bodies of convicts were cut open. Today, pre-soaked and rolled rice mats are cut. Adepts subjected to this rigorous test must demonstrate perfect technique,
and their swords must be incredibly sharp and in perfect condition.
It's more than a weapon, it's also a symbol of all the samurai values"

"It's not supposed to be pretty"
The artwork doesn't have to be "pretty".
It often arises at the borderline.
Seekers. It is an expression of disagreement or an attempt to tame matters and phenomena,
that arouse inner anxiety in us.
He has the right not to care about correctness or form. Push us out of our comfort zone. Touch difficult emotions. Resonate. cause internal rebellion *
Ask uncomfortable questions.
It has to be authentic.

"With a living blade in my hands"
It was said that "the sword is the soul of the samurai".
It is more than a weapon, it is also a symbol of all the values that the samurai upheld. For someone who hones blades, but also teaches swordsmanship, this job is a metaphor for daily training, where you hone your own soul.

"Beyond the Surface"
"The surface of the canvas is like a sheet of water.
Above it float colors, textures and forms defined by light.
Sometimes subtle - requiring time and attention.
Other times, strong - expansive, memorable from the first glance. When we look closely at the surface, we will see our reflection in it. That's when the picture is created."
