"Beyond the surface" - contemporary painting

The artist plays with the form, "inserting" the characteristic backgrounds of metals and spatial forms. The figure of a child dyed in perfect black, referring to the representations of sacred art, seems to bless and judge the viewer at the same time.

Strong, fleeing reds and flashy pinks from the new FIRE series seem to harmonize perfectly with the ordered compositions of greens and blues (which are a very unusual palette in Monika's work) of the "GARDEN" series. Strong earth structures, added to the paints, stand out from the forms and colors, subjecting the viewer to reflection on life and passing.

Wasilka's paintings captivate with their apparent chaos, which, thanks to luminous palettes, dominant whites and greys, gives the viewer space for their own interpretation. The organic forms emerging from the textures, embellished with strong accents of black, create a perfect balance between courage and action, and balance and calmness.

Already during the vernissage, some of the works were lucky enough to find their way into private collections. The exhibition is regularly open, every weekend, until November 15, 2020.
